i have been using a 2012 North Rebel 11m now for only a week ... i can say it's the easiest kite i've ever used to self land and launch .. soo easy man even in some tight areas with a hand full of sea urchins :( .. very pleased. although the kite is a bit slow , was expected though

i have one issue , concerning inflation , the kite has 2 valves , one near one tip , and the other in the centre of the kite , i can never seem to inflate the kite using the central valve near the middle strut , i have to end up using the valve near the tip (which i believe is the deflate valve as it's near the tip) ...

any tips on this anyone ?

p.s. i didnt buy the kite new , so i don't have a manual to check

Right, the center valve is for inflate, the large one on the tip is deflate. Why can't you use the center valve?

First of all it this kite cannot be slow....unless your North bar is on the inside setting (46cm wide)
Pull off the floats and re-adjust with back lines coming out from end of bar at 55cm wide

Next you have to test the intake valve at center strut

Inflate the kite the way you are doing now from the dump valve
Then when you have 6 psi close everything
Go to center valve and "slide the top off" then punch in with deflator pin to let some air out
Air should be "rushing out "if all is normal (let the kite go down to 3 psi)

After that take your pump and using small nozzle on hose put in on the inside of small intake valve
...and pumping it should be relatively EZ

Some will say put it over the intake valve but i have zero difficulty pumping form the inside of valve

SupraEZ, are you seriously using two different valves and two different nozzles every time you inflate your kite.

Read the link posted by windybrit above and you'll spend more time kiting and less time pumping.

Of course not.... :D ...what are you talking about
NO NO the person who started this post inflates using the dump valve

I only use one nozzle (small) into intake valve and have no problems whatsoever in last 150 sesh's

I was trying to give the original poster some good tips to troubleshoot his pumping issue

It does take more effort to pump with tapered nozzle / and narrow intake valve
Is your pump brand new? Maybe time for some cleaning and maintenance?
Try some fresh lube on the round piston inside of the round cylindrical pump :D
