what we need is a dual chamber, dual action pump that pumps fast and high volume at beginning and slower lower volume, high pressure at end of inflation. Its easy to design and make- just cost about 2 times as much- but i´d buy one. Look at the bike tire pump industry- theres like 100 different pumps to choose from..
Please, some company make one- i can design one and put it on kickstarter if anyone is interested in 50$ pump.

What we need is a pump whose seals don't break down from the heat generated while pumping up a big kite! I seem to burn out a pump about every 4 months or so - clue is black crap all over the shaft. So I've also gone to the $10-15 cheap pumps -- about as far away as you can get from the title of this thread

The Coleman pump from Amazon was a great deal. Only thing that would help is a more robust hose, but I have extras if I need them.

It's to bad there isn't a kite that would just pump itself up.Hold it in the wind and it takes shape, launch it and it fills all the way up with a a few power strokes.Guess i'm dreaming though.

A foot pump would be great but need metal parts or very high quality plastic $$$$$. Currently the best is whitewater raft pump, $$$ @ $100 or so if I recall....
