Arrived in Providence, Massachusetts at Midnight. Took a fast boat to Martha’s Vineyard at 3am, home of the fastest sailor in the world Rob Douglas. Woke up at 6:30am “Java time”, & broke 50 kts at noon! Tested new Cabrinha prototypes in south east wind of 20 to 35kts, rode for 7 hours, and dinner at 8pm! 9:30pm pool in The Douglas Man cave! Tomorrow 4am SUP training, 9 foot swell. More wind forecasted. To be continued. Damo

Looks like most of the world with the exception of the UK has been having good winds lately, we've been stuck with some strange conflicting fronts.
I'm waiting to hear if I've qualified for Camargue, it's been a long wait. I'm not in the automatically qualified top 20 but hope to be in the next 20 to qualify according to 2011 500m speeds. I have been trying to calculate if I would qualify so I can make traveling arrangements but a bit confused, half of the pre-qualified and 5 out of 8 reserves are French riders that don't appear to have tracks on GPS kitesurfing, do you think this may be because it's a combined French and World championships?

Day 2 team USA in the Vineyard....

Day two training with Rob Douglas and team USA:
Sup session started at 5:40am as this targets core muscle groups and cross training for the brain. As the wind started to build, the light wind testing became top priority. Then we went back and forth with different boards, and kites. Four hours later we headed back to the work room to cut boards and fine tune gear as tomorrow’s forecast is 30knots again!!! Team USA continues to sharpen the knives......

Lol, you should check the actual forecasts, it's just as strange and conflicting on the East Coast US. Grass isn't always greener across the street!

It was the normal 6:30am wake up and a dark cup of Java at The Black Dog Tavern. It was raining and blowing 25 to 30 knots. The 40/40 Board Club held its first annual board meeting at State Beach Marthas Vineyard. (40 feet vertical and 40knots on a speed board in the same day) Bill Lynch Chairman of the Board opened the meeting with a 25-foot hang time jump. Rob Douglas, Chief Operations Officer presented Year to Date jump Financials and Full Year speed Forecasts at 43 feet with a double kite loop monster boost. I, Chief Information Officer unveiled a mega loop marketing plan for 2012 at around 43.1 feet. Jamie Douglas V.P and Chief Relationship Officer was investing in female relations taking his girlfriend to the new Brazilian Vmax (26.1 knot) speed record with his speed “missle”. Morgan Douglas, Chief Specialist Officer was fired for showing up five hours late to the board meeting and breaking company dress code policies. In the afternoon it was a full on battle for the Vacant CEO spot as GPS Vmax were maxed out to 45 and 48knots in the afternoon. The meetings minutes will show 40 feet jumps and new highs in speed business strategies.
