Looks very much like the Park but with one less strut.

Well, I think the colors make it look that way. I think the kite itself is different from the Park. The center section is much flatter as you would expect from a 2 strut kite. I has a lot of power.

All the self launching self landing is easy...gets you going in 0 wind ;-)

It is a powerhouse, and it keeps flying in what I would say is ultralight wind..feels stable, and relatively fast turning...I mean you're not getting a huge kite for its turning abilities, but this one turns fast relatively speaking. Fun kite. I've used it for both TT / boots and no boots, and a a few strapless surfboards. Super fun to jump in light winds with this kite.

Two struts huh?
For some reason, for myself, I prefer seven struts and a high aspect.

If you are a racer it makes sense with high AR..usually a ton of struts tend to get a little heavy tho..
:D

For what I think this kite is made for i think making it light and grunty makes sense. Compared to any high AR big kite the fly will turn faster for sure.

Have you had the pleassure to already try the 2013 kites Tautologies?! Not fair :D
So whats the difference between the Fly and the Ride then? Wonder if they will make a really big Fly kite that I can use for light wind..

Well I had the pleasure to try the ride and fly. I am pretty psyched to see how the parks turns out next season.

I think the ride is a mid season kite that belongs to the 2012 lineup? It is already on their website.

Last year they had charger. Maybe they will do an alternating development. ride / charger / ride charger? I dunno.

I have had short runs on the rides (10 and 12). Longer on the 10. It was too windy to say much about the 12...I was lit up. Was very different from the park. Much more power in sheeting, and the jumps were had some solid power to them, but I was mainly on strapless boards..but I tried them in shitty waves... I really would like to ride them in better waves with side shore winds. I think this kite might great for the leave your kite, and go wave riding type ride...but I still have to test that. Still I feel a little sketchy someone too much..I think I got too little time on it. The 10 I rode the most was definitely nice and powerful.

There is definitely a size and power difference. The fly is a lightwind kite. Though the 12 ride felt powerful I really do not know how light is goes..it was too windy for that.

Both of them were easy to self launch and relaunch. I cannot remember if I tested self landing the rides, but fly is a breeze. I mean it is a big kite and so you'll fly it in light winds anyway.
