I have a contact in flexifoil, I asked him about a rumor I heard on the Ion line, and asked about the board, and here's what he replied:

"The new Hadlow boards are the same shape but they have been stiffened slightly through the middle of the board. Aaron and the guys found this to be better for loading up the board."

I honestly can't imagine them making this board any better.

Hope this helps, I'm thinking about getting the 134 in the new style, they never made the model I have (2011) in the smaller size.
Thanks! All I hear about those boards are only positive reviews! I have to get/try one sometime.

I used to ride Ion's and am a huge fan of the quality build, detail and performance of their kites. So I figured the board can't be that bad, the other thing was that I couldn't find either a bad review or a used one for sale, so I figure, man, either FF isn't selling these at all, or they're that freaking good.

Gotta tell you it was the latter. This board is sick, I promise you (and I swear I'm not affiliated at all with FF) but I promise you, you;ll love this board, I let a buddy of mine, he's far more advance rider than I am, and he got rid of all his boards and bough a Hadlow. I let this dude I met down in Key Largo try it, and he sent me an email asking me if I'd sell him mine, cause FF Usa was backordered.

The only thing is that you can't, or shouldn't do, is put boots on, the board has too much flex for boots, so it delaminates over time, I asked FF directly and the concurred on this.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info again :)
Yeah, sadly they don't sell Hadlow 2011 boards anymore, right?

Nah I don't think so, maybe through the UK Store (AKA the international store) maybe they have a few left.

I like the new one, but I like my versions graphics better, is bolder, more in your face. But with a board this sick who cares what it looks like, it can be pink leopard print, with glitter, and I'd still get it.

Good luck!

I rode the 2011 board from the day it was released when I worked for Flexi, I just got the new version and yes it is a bit stiffer but this is a good thing. Amazing board (if you'll listen to my slightly biased opinion :) )
