Yeah, it has tons of power. It's not a fast kite, but it's really really powerful. big lofty gliding jumps...

most guys ride the 10 as their biggest kite.

i rode the 12m in about 20 knots and was super impressed. i weight 65kg/145 lbs and 20 knots is about my limit on how far i can hold a 12m. I felt slightly overpowered but the kite is very reactive to board pressure and I found it very easy to edge even farther forward to the edge and I was cruising no problems. Kite jumps really high and glides forever. I would also say that I found it very responsive, it's not super fast but I was flying switchblades so pretty much everything feels like a racecar after that. But I would say it is a little more direct feeling than envys and slightly faster (but not much).

it's a very fun kite and it took me literally 1 tack to get used to how it flies, it's easy to use and performs great. I would say very big wind range since I was actually flying it fully powered up, I could have slackened the rear lines even more to give it a bigger range. started out around 10 knots that day and it built up to maybe 25, never felt out of control

the 2012 cpr bar is great as well, i had 2011 envys and there were a few things i didnt like, for example the swivel and the depower. the depower seems like it is a lot easier to pull this year, especially compared to other below the bar systems. i still don't like below the bar but it takes no effort this year to trim it so that's a big plus. the swivel still doesn't work though. the bar floats are nice and squishy and it has a huge chickenloop that is great for unhooking, even with the donkey dick flapping below the loop i had no issues hooking in and out which i thought was unusual, it stuck all the time on my cab bar until i took the donkey dick off.

as a whole package i was super impressed, i did feel like the kite could use a slight bit of refinement in how responsive it is, sometimes the lines were a little slack and it felt weird, but the kite was on pre-production bridles... most of the time it was fine so i'm sure this is something that was fixed with final bridle

Thank you! I actually ride Core, I like this kites but a very powerful 12 would be very nice where I live (thermal wind, 10 to 18 knots in a "normal" day).

Yeah, the 12 would probably be perfect for those conditions. Like I said I rode it only on the most powered knot, and there was plenty of depower and control just with the trim rope and my board's edge. I've never flown a kite that sits forward in the window before, I previously only rode deltas and bow kites that sit back, so I was surprised with how much of the power you can just edge out of it when the wind picks up. But you don't kill the power when you do that, you cruise upwind very very efficiently haha... it's quite cool
