I am pretty sure this is a tannin stain.. but since It was not mine when stained, I am not 100% sure. So far I have washed it with a high Ph detergent used in car washes... I gave the white sections a spray of 50% chlorine bleach .. but the stain has not yet been effected? It looks like tannin because my bayside launch has a lot of it - but I am usually able to wash it off before it sets.

...it could, maybe, be offsetting from the black panels that divide white and yellow because there are stains that are angled like the black divider on both white and yellow panels... Anybody have any luck with other cleaners?

I mention Epic in the subject line because I want to tell anyone looking for stump-pulling kite do not pass on one of these. I am incredibly pleased with the power available in this 2010 Screamer 14. I have had a bunch of kites, this is one of the best. I am still tuning it but it appears to be able double or triple thrust nearly instantly. It reminds me of the Ripper from Eric in Cabarete that has a similar, after-burner effect.

I have a custom bar/line set with a long depower and a harness for the center strut to make it a 5-liner because I self-launch and land, in the water, off a section of sand about 2M wide, 95% of the time and feel much safer, especially when landing, with the lesser tension on a 5th vs. any 4 line kite I have had.

Looks like the kite has been packed away being wet with sweet water...

Happend to my kite and looked exactly like that, I think from the black.

Have had lots of stained kites, usually on the white or even yellow/gold and from the black (or dark) canopy material.
Put away wet with fresh water, not salt water, it seems.
The stains never seem to come out, doesn't even bother me when it happens anymore.
But if I were designing kites, I would never use white canopy cloth and would always use bold not light colors.
My favorite being an all black Epic Screamer 10M Limited Edition. None Blacker! and it goes up to 11. hehe.
I agree, the Epic Screamer 14M is a monster, great lightwind kite if you don't go out so light that it won't relaunch if you drop it.
The Epic Renegade 13M LTD has tons of power for light wind but relaunches awesome, loving that kite!!

I have a 12m in that colorsetup with about the same stains in it. I know i've packed the kite wet a couple of times without letting it dry.
Seems there some cleaners that can prevent this but not sure if it would clean it now.

You sprayed 50% bleach on it !!
I'm with Toby, Its from the Black, happens alot if kite is rolled wet.

Leave it. The kite will fly the same with stains.

white might take less damage from UV radiation than black, the black fabric on my kites seems to be in much worse shape than the white even if the white is older and used more

Don't wash your kites with anything but water.
Chlorine Bleach??????

Bleach will weaken the kite.

Why would anyone case about a silly bit of staining on a kite that is going to be
100 feet in the air?

If you want to protect kite material spray the kite lightly with Sail coat.

That stain you have comes from the black dye and sitting in a hot car.

Personally I think that kite graphics are pretty fucking dumb. Often there are stitching lines
because of graphic design.
