I think it compares well with the Park. I've had a few sessions on the Fly. Bar pressure and riding style is similar. It does feel quite a bit more powerful (obviously). Its jumping is also a lot more dependent on sheeting and not sending sheeted in, but the kite, which is one huge difference to me from other big kites, will take you up and go more horizontally. I've ridden the kite strapless on the fish and had a great time in waves and glassy conditions. I've ridden it with boots, and the kite works really well. Self launch in light winds is easy. Same with self landing. Not always what you'd expect from a big kite in light wind.

I read the article they posted with the designer, and I am pretty excited to try the kite with my raceboard. It makes sense to me.

Supa: I think most companies claims are okay if you understand it in a comparative context. Big kites today are so much more efficient then their just slightly older counterparts. I think actually they might have written the turn like a 12 power of an 18 just to get a response..but I am guessing.

LW: What do you mean copy others? I am all for the sigma shape, but I have not seen 2 strut kites with this shape at all. If launching a kite with struts and leading edge then I guess everyone copies everyone? I don't get it.

The Liquid Force Havoc has no center strut. I tried it and thought it performed quite well, very grunty!
And the size doesn't always matter boys, there are a lot of other factors that matter, like weight and shape for example...

Exactly. Not only that but for a kite it kind of makes sense to have a "flatter" center area if what you are looking for is power that pulls (and not sine power). It is where we generate power when the kite is still. Making it light makes it light to turn.

I am all with SupaEZ. I think this kite is fine LW kite for small people like 80kg and below but where is the lightwind kite for bigger people?

Why only one size?

This 15M is sold with 10 meter extensions
Even with longer lines it is still small size kite compared to other LW specific kites out there
Peter Frank once had great explanation about drawback of real long lines to create more power

Size of kite does matter... and 15 would not cut it as a LW kite even for me at 75kg / 165lb :D

Would be no fun in 8-9 knots in the waves on surfboard in the hot humid climate where i kite

Thanks for your input. I didn't realise there was only one size at the moment, and the big one. I would have only be interested in a sub-10m Fly. The Park I loved were size 8 and 10. Less wind, I switch to foils, no question.

Ah you wanna look at the ride then. Very powerful and fun two strut kite. Super easy to ride with alittle less pull in the loops. Comes in 6 8 10 and 12

would this be a good compliment to a 12m Park? is it easy to fly the Fly (bar pressure and turning effort) ?

I had a love/hate relationship with the Ozone Zephyr. Gets you out there, but heavy, too much effort to fly, slow, tough to relaunch. I sold it and resigned that if i can't use my 12m its not worth going.
