When your friends are out barely mowing the lawn in 8 knots, just pull one of these suckers out and you'll be laughing at them in no time. And if you want to progress from hooked to off-the-hook, these things are your ticket. All three are guaranteed to get you absolutely lit no matter how light the wind. Dan - how do these perform when inverted?? That's pretty important to me and my crew.

bsideindy wrote: yeah there is the problem cab driver. kites that fly like 18 an turn like 18 pretty much suck. I demoed the crossbow 2011 18m and gave it back after 2 tacks. poor performance , brutal on the arms, heavy and pig like. seemed like a kite from a past era or something. maybe some people like those characteristics. Okay - so let me just follow your logic then... You think that we should add more material to existing kites and make them less efficient in light winds, but increase the turning speed - is this what you are saying? If that's the case, why not just ride a good 12m kite and skip the fast turning 16m kite that has the same low end as a 12m, but likely a waaaayyyy smaller wind range???? All I know is the original post is claiming it with big power and some unearthly weight ratio - so let's just get on the water and see!

ToeSide: I'm in. Whatever it is. CabDriver:When you say head to head...doing what? Surely you do not suggest that you want to measure turning speed? The point is I think those kites are designed for different reasons. Either way, I think challenging something well then how do you measure? Apart from that I'm in. Whatever it is.

This is a quote from the marketing post: "The power of an 18..." - so let's test the power. I'm sure plenty of others would put 12m kites up to test the turning speed...

I'm sure plenty of others would put 12m kites up to test the turning speed... so I guess they achieved what I think they tried: To get a little rise from people like you. How do you propose this head to head is conducted then? I mean you set out a challenge...but there is no information about how, what and when....or is it whatever you feel like? I think the most funny thing about this is that the sentence in it self has no meaning. If it is a 15 meter kite, then it will turn like a 15 no matter what. Yet still you make such a big deal out of it. No need to put up a 12, you can just come with your 13 xbow and I am sure the Fly will beat the shit out of that in turning speed....or who cares. LOL. Point is it is a powerful fast turning kite for the size, that is how you're supposed to read that sentence. Also, since you get so upset over some spiel, do you put all the text that is on the Cabrinha site through the same scrutiny? Relax a little and have fun.

I think if you put a 15M on 30 meter lines it could have the pull of an 18 meters on 25 meter lines But i do not think that "pull" would pull you upwind as high..but perhaps great for downwinders I could claim that my 12 pulls (has power of ) an 18 .....if i ride it on 35 meter lines

LOL that is awesome!!! It would go wrong on so many levels, but it would be so funny to watch. Remind me of a Faith No More lyric: "It's always funny until someone gets hurt And then it's just hilarious!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ob6O0GEMK0
