Hey guys,
This year I spent a fair bit of time in Hawaii and its fair to say I scored some epic days. Here is a quick edit that Anders put together. Learnt a lot of new stuff over the winter there and here is some of it. Shot by Elliot Leboe and Reo Stevens on both Maui and Oahu. Can't wait to go back again!

Nice riding a$$hole*
*ok I don't really mean a$$hole....The video is absolutely fantastic and you make it look so easy and effortless...when us regular people struggle to just air between our boards and the water. Awesome. Great inspiration.
I really like the floater around 1:00, I've been wondering if a move like that would be possible. Seems like a skateboard trick, rocking the rail over the lip and then pulling it back. Would be cool on a twin tip and then drop back in switch or blind.

THIS is BADASS. Can this guy or anyone that knows how to do them, tell me how to do airs strapless??
Obviously taking off into the wind is a no brainer, but is there some kind of technique that you should try to follow???
BUMP this UP!!!
Well...spending time watching Reo land some and trying to explain to me how to do them (futile task I might add) I could try to forward some hints...on the other hand, someone else that does them does it opposite from these ones. The common denominator I think is to lift your backfoot early right off the pop, right as your backfoot comes up, throw your head.

Fuck, I'm still doing the Elaine dance (Seinfeld reference) when i jibe. This just doesn't make sense. Not just rotations, but rotations to shuv-its? ridiculousness. Nice video!!!

Glad everyone liked the video!
When it comes down to strapless airs, its all about learning how to pop and then using the win to your advantage to help stick the board to your feet. The windier it is the easier it is.
With those front rolls and rotations, honestly I don't know how to explain them properly. Everyone does them differently and if you look at the way reo or ian does them, they are slightly different. I couldn't do them till earlier this year, then I spent enough time watching Reo and they just clicked after I landed one. It's all about maintaining contact with the wind on the bottom of the board. Once again, the windier it is the easier.
