Dr. Rosen,
I really do feel the 66 is under finned. It might float you in slightly lower breeze, but the added drag might make it a wash. The 60 with 3 fins is probably the best compromise.
Regardless, can you even get either board right now? I thought everyone was sold out until mid-September's next shipment. All we have is a demo 60 left and we have sold them all at full MSRP and we are not even in a spot of exclusively light wind.

What fin boxes are used in the 66?
If power or tuttle you can get bigger fins, but maybe at that point you might as well buy a regular raceboard.

60 and 66 use 3 tuttle for 3 main fins and mini tuttle for the two rear fins if used on quad.
I agree that unless you are racing the 60 will do everything you need. There may be a 60 at 24/7 boardsports in the UK, aside from that I think everything is pretty much sold. I'm chasing the new delivery from the factory now, I don't think the Typhoon that just went through the far east helped the factory speed things up much.. We expect new stock in around the 4th sept.
We had a cracking Sat on the sectors again - a good friend just bought a sector 60 One Design (quite a bit cheaper in the UK) - we had this and the 60 V3 out all day, practising those tacks and generally messing about in offshore flatwater. I'm using them more this season than last..

I know this post is about the 60/66 but I have to share an recent experience on the 54 as it still appropriate.
Had day off work (sick), anyhow northerly winds at 10 to 13, Normally I'd go home and hope it picks up a little and Normally will miss the small window you get with the shifty northerelys. By time you drive back down setup again etc.
Anyhow not a prob got out the 54 on my new VX 10m, tacked a good 700m up the coast, then cranked downwind, seeing what this thing can do. You are asking about the 60 so will not elaborate, but you grow into these boards and their doesn't seem to be a point where you reach it's limitation.
Anyhow back to my story, the wind kicked up a bit, 16 to 19 so got on my normal weapon an Australian made board called the cardboard wave, first time had t Any real wind in the VX. Well stuff me that kite is unreal, Soooo fast on your board, but with complete control and I couldn't stuff any type of loop up if I tried, i actually caight myself giggling like a little kid ( which was somewhay disconcerting) but I digress....
Crew started to pour down an hour later but by then the wind had dropped back down. Had my three hour fill.
Moral of story, these boards will bridge the wind gaps and keep you on the water not based on the current wind at the time, but provide flexibility within the fluctuations of the wind during a fixed time period. also extends the wind range of each kite size and gives you a lot of flexibility in size and model choice.
Should have done this long time ago...you can't go wrong seriously.

Hmm just got offered the V3 for 850€ or V2 for approx 520€. If identical why not save the money. But are they, or almost? What are the differences really between. V2 60 and V3 60 ?

Think the V2 can only be ridden as a fixed quad. The v3 can be ridden as a three fin as well. But someone like Mike Birt is best to answer the riding differences. Email him, an experienced rider with a real grasp on the technical aspects of kites and boards that is very refreshing to to learn from. For me I'd go the V3 as they are raving about the three fin setup.
