Hello,
This summer we buiit a kite mount that pivots when the kite turns, so that the image stays in landscape all the time. Here is a video we made using that mount:

Enjoy, and tell me what you think.
Thomas.

Great Idea for the cam mount. You should really test it though, do a bunch of kite loops / aggressive jumps and stuff.
I cant believe I 'm going to say this because I know how people reacted to all of my vids, so feel free to rip on mine too ! ( and I;m sure this is just a generation thing, so don't take it personal )
The music is lame. Before it starts and stops the cam audio is soothing and cool. Picture that scene in Animal House when Bluto smashes that guys guitar in the stairwell . I think when making kite vids, especially these days, the audio can be one of the toughest parts.
I havent made any vids in a while , and some people are probably sick of these, but here's one ...fell free to critique ( rip on my music ! )

This is cool! But the good thing about our mount, is that you never have to switch the picture, because it's always in landscape, i think that's cool :)
I tried a kiteloop to turn, and it was actually pretty nice with our mount, but ill have to try other things too.

super cool efforts.
great job on your mount.
gotta keep the innovations fresh!
been working on a way to capture with gopro on the kite.
here's a shot where I'm basically standing next to my buddy with his kite upwind of me.
makes for a cool shot
