i have been riding mystic warrior 2009 for the last couple seasons comfortable harness but the clicker spreader is far to difficult to use. I have been undoing the straps instead of using the clicker as a result which is annoying. i like the harness but wanted to know if this issue has been resolved on the warrior 3? none of the local shops carry mystic so i dont have the opportunity to check them out

i can look at ion/dakine local if i need to switch but really like the spreader keeper strap on the warrior as well

my warrior is all peeling apart and probably time for upgrade any info is appreciated

They solved it completly. Even when fastened tightly it opens easy.

Totally agree! I purchased a 2011 Shadow a couple of months ago - and it has performed flawlessly! Like it way better than the "pre-clicker" system they had on earlier models.

And 2012 has new clickerbar compared to 2011. Even better than previous. I keep the straps always in one place and just open/close the clicker bar.

I have experience with Dakine Renegade and Mystic Shadow.

I currently ride with a 2012 Shadow. I am very happy with it. It's comfortable and doesnt cause me any back pains. It's also relatively light.
I would have preferred a harness without the clicker bar, just the classic hook system, but Mysitc doesn't carry that anymore (at least to my knowledge). I still bought one bc of its comfort level and the clicker works fine. I think they improved the 2012 model with a more square clicker as opposed to the round one they had in 2011.

All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

Regarding Feeding the webbing through each time intead of using the "clicker" on the 2009 MW. I'm seeing alarming wear points on the webbing where I've fed it through each session. Too bad, the rest of the harness has got plenty of life, and very comfortable. I guess it's trash in a few more weeks.
But yes, the "clicker" is a P.O.S. especially in fine beach sand.

One more question about the Mystic harness: Have any of you found that the hook is more "shallow"/ smaller than other mfg? Here in the NW U.S. there have been long discussions about unintentional un-hook with the Mystic line. I switched mine to a larger Dakine hook last summer, which is another reason I need to feed the webbing each session.
