Thinking of getting north dyno 17 meter,in florida about 3 months every year need a good light wind kite,have naish parks good solid kites,have 14 park so fly only 1 meter bigger,dyno probaly better option,few questions,Bar pressure,Hope its not a truck,Whats it like for wave riding,From what i heard good boosting kite,I like north kites and have bar and lines,any info would be great,as its an expensive kite,Thanks Tony

Keep in mind that the Fly being a 2 strut kite will weigh less than the park and give it a big advantage in LW.

The dyno is a great kite just pull the trigger and add it to your quiver, you will not be disapointed, Light wind, in any conditions are a blast with a dyno 17, plus with a race board you will just add days to your kiting. Sure it is a 17 so it turns like a modern 17 but it is still fine in surf, you just have to think ahead a little, like with any big kite.

The bar pressure is adjustable, from more to less, the heavy pressure feels alot like a zephyr pressure while the lighter setting is light enough to not get tired after a looooonnnggg session, but not to light to still have the feel you need to work in very light wind.

It is a amazing big kite on par or better then any other big kite out there depending on your personal needs. I fly big kite often in very little wind and the dyno is my go to kite.

The 17 pulls hard parked, not as hard as the 18 but it has 8 or more knots high end on it. On the 18 at like 11 knots I am lit and thinking of coming in for a different kite but I can hold the 17 down till around 20 even gusting a little higher, The 18 is awsome if you have blowdryer smooth light wind, the new 17 is much more friendly. On the new North Lines with the 2013 bar the 17 even feels more playfull while jumping as well. It is a great kite, just a great alround light wind kite that happens to be very fast upwind and the new 17 sits much ruther forward then the 18 also.

The 17 is much faster then the 18 so the up stroke to the park position is fast so the pull is there like the 18 but you have to start moving the 17 sometimes. But not often, the turning speed is faster then last yuears 16 but just a little bit, again on the new lines it feels even faster.

The guy I sold my 18 ( he is like 240lbs) to and I have traded off a bunch, He wants a 17 now. just becuase of the range.
