Why park 2013 has a big difference that older 2012??
Any video more that park 2013?
The park now also works with a race board. That is why I think it would work with the foil boatd
I can do a little writeup. The kite has some notable difference without losing its core.

:)
Anyone recommending huge kites for a foilboard obviously have never ever ridden one.
Maybe I can imagine a bigger kite if I was better at it but right now I think 12 would be the biggest kite I would take out. Normally I would say a 10.

I agree with Mr.tautologies.
No need bigger then 12 meter if you are going to use a foil board especially in 10 to 16 knots.

But any way, I think some one needs to cool down and get wet. Even if there is no wind maybe you could get an SUP and paddle out. No need for the INFINITY v2 kite in these conditions since there is no wind. But at least you get wet and cool off.

P.S. These pictures were taken today ... ...As you can see "NO WIND" but at least I got wet.
Nice Replay !!
& Yep -- i need to get wet, ((bin two weeks now)) wind sucks this time of year here.
Even got sand-bagged last time out ; three hour round trip drive for nothing.
Still No excuse for being Rude, sorry ; guess it's time to go jump off a mountain

The INFINITIY v2 has no numbers because it is made for light wind from 7 to 14 knots. So no need to know what size it is.

Here we go "Again" !!
You always make such a Production about it ... ... ...

Seriously Dimitri -- were Not idiots ; and i don't care How good that V2 is, i
won't get a kite from someone who thinks we are All beneath your
mental aptitude .

Bille[/quote]

WOW Bille that was quite a comment.....you cracked me up

I kinda know what you are saying

With ALL due respect Dimitri....SBC tested it and categorized the V2 as a 17M just to give it a #

Again with all the respect you deserve ..you DO trow at us a lot of low wind speed "numbers"

WHY are those numbers even remotely important if we follow your logic of kite size for LW ?

Perfect wind for V2 is 7-12kn....7-14kn...never 20kn....3-6kn if on SUP w/2dogs on glassy water

If you have noticed i like to downplay my LW low ends...it is what i call modesty

I will never claim to go in "less" than 8 knots with kite parked going upwind on a surfboard in ocean

And that is with my FUN beloved Core Riot XR2LW 19M

So in my opinion you should just say 9kn low end FUN for V2 or say "nothing at all"

Again with all due respect.... :respekt:

Hello SupaEZ,
I never mention the size number for the INFINITY v2 to the SBC magazine. This is what they think it is

Seems I'll just stick with my 10m for now, and see if I can test some of the kites mentioned. I also heard the Bandit 5 is fast, but will have to see if it is significantly faster than the Vertigo. Another mate of mine has a screamer and renegade which looked very similar to the blade vertigo. I'll try give it a go to compare.

Hi,

From my experience, takoon furia 12m would be a good choice.
The kite is not very powerful for a 12m, but flies very fast. Guess would be a good match for your foilboard, as you do not need grunt but the ability to generate apparent wind

ChristoffM wrote:I have recently started kite hydrofoiling, and all of a sudden my biggest kite which used to be fast feels too big and too slow. I have a 14m blade vertigo, and it was amazingly fast for its size when I got it, but now the foil begs for a faster kite when the wind is really light. I get about the same low wind performance from my 10m Vertigo so maybe I must just forget a bigger kite? But those light wind conditions are so nice on a hydrofoil, I just want to push the low wind limit to the max.

Can anyone recommend a very fast kite, but that is light weight as well? Preferably no more than three struts, but fast through the sky and fast turning as well. Something like the SS turbine looks like it would fit the requirements, but I am looking for about a 12 or 13m kite. Any suggestions out there?
Well those others again hijack the thread for some arguing Epic vs Core and not able to show you hydrofoiling action at the max. I want to show you one example how it is really done on super low wind and as you want to push low wind limit to the max.

1:25 on video, 3 knots. Maybe on the beach at that point and the usual precautions and disclaimers. Flysurfer kites can fly in 3 knots but I bet that wind at kite level is not that low. Perhaps 5 knots -+ 1. If you look at Flagbeach flags on the launch wind seems to be higher but it could be the that Speed3 flying at Flagbeah clip is from different day/set so it does not prove anything to direction or to another.

But I love how Gunnar is pumping foil-board and kite to get the required apparent wind.

The takoon furia i think is one off the fastest kites around. My 08 furia 13metre flew faster than most 10s, although i dont fly takoon anymore.
