Have a Dakine harness here the quality of the welds is very low. Same thing goes for the NP harness I have been using for a year now.

It seems like there is zero process control at the plants manufacturing these items. Also the QC is unacceptable since the welds vary a lot in quality on the same series of spreaders. From what I can see in this thread.

Be glad you are not a snowkiter, inappropriately using this gear for gliding. Imagine being 100+ feet over the deck and having a failure of this sort???

I've wondered if snowkiters that lofted like that ever ran double lines - guess this would be another single-point failure. Think I'll leave all that for the youngsters :) :)

This is the same failure I had on at least 2x Dakine spreader bars. It's showing the same signs of fatigue crack failure as mine did.

If you don't unhook then simply get rid of the hook and thereby eliminate the risks of broken hooks and also of line tangles around the hook. Just saying.

Didn't you think that there is still a problem with low-quality metal or improper work with it when creating an instrument?

Many years ago I also used Dakine harnesses.
The hooks kept breaking…looks like nothing changed.

Just get something else, and you should be fine.
Could be just another spreader bar, no need for another harness.

And what if one does tricks?

Removing one shitty thing with another is still crap.

More and more plastic in a spreader bar, cant wait to see the life span of this new stuff...

Then reinforce the hook with stainless welding.
Removing one shitty thing with another is still crap.
What is that "shitty thing"?
