If I get a Nugget, will it give me the same low-end as my Flydoor XL 170x50, but let me play in the waves more like a surfboard without nose-diving and smacking my face?

Or would I be better off with a light-wind/big-boy surfboard like a Dialer?
I weigh 150lbs and am getting very similar low end out of the nugget that I get with a sector 52. Board does like to nose dive a bit coming down a wave but you can fix that with how you ride it

It's been 9 months since you posed the original question. When are you gonna' pull the trigger?

When I stop losing boards, blowing out tyres on the highway, and have some job security :( In the meantime, I'm saving and pinching my pennies.

And waiting for a demo :P

No you've done it...I don't know anything about the Nugget, and haven't ridden the SP...but I love my Dialer. :)

Yes, same low end, except get going on the board slightly more problematic in the lightest air due paradoxically to the buoyancy of the Nugget (easier with Flydoor which is half sunk, if you can picture).
The Nugget is certainly the most playful of my 20 boards or so (I am a hoarder), with the exception perhaps of another North product, the Skimfish, which loses on upwind and low wind wrt to its bigger brother.
The Nugget is even more playful when you remove the back fins, my usual setup. And strapless is even more fun and actually much easier to jibe. Being able to place your feet anywhere is a newly discovered pleasure for me.
It doesn't nose dive in the sort of waves you'd use the Nugget.
The Dialler looks like a good alternative. Firewire who inspired North with the Sweet potato, has got something that looks like the dialler as well, in many sizes. By now they should have reinforced versions of Sweet and baked Potatoes, specific for kiting.

Hey Kami, why do you mention the playfulness of the Nugget just when I am 10 000 km away from mine, stuck in a land locked country? :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

Both better choices for the big guys than Nugget, I would think.
