Nice and relaxed video, still no high jumping, big boosting, hang time footage. I would like to see a bit more...

Just got back from Panama where I rode the 13m Cloud a bunch in lighter winds 11 - 15 knts. It's actually really good unhooked once trimmed right. I probably did 50 handle passes on the kite and dropped almost as many times. No worries on relaunch at all. Will post pics in a bit

Next time at your normal pace.. time it again....it should be just over one minute in my opinion

Also tell me how many pumps you have to do with double action pump...
.....only count the amount of full downward pushes (not halves) you have to do to get to 7-8PSI

Just interesting valuable information...........knowledge is power....especially in ULW
I always want to know more specs than less specs when companies put products out there to sell

.....and now some smilies :pump: :surf: :sun: :thanx:  :strong: :cooltext: :coolshades: ....
OK, I just lubed with silicone spray my squeaky pump and timed it.
It took 57 cycle full downward pushes with a double action pump to ping the LE,
Which took about 1 Minute :pump:

Last Sunday I had only a half an hour test fly in a 7 to 9 mph variable winds with 3 - 5 mph lulls.
So I can't really comment or give a full review from this short testing.
What I can confirm the weight of the 17m is: 7.0 lbs (3.2 kg)
The steering speed is great and when the wind dropped to 3 mph
or dropped the kite to the soup during unpowered low wind jibe,
it relaunched unexpectedly easily when the wind came back to around 7 mph :thumb: (NOT KNOTS!)
I think the kite is still flying in about 5 mph, I'm just guessing.

In Panama the 13m dominated upwind on a twintip and Paipo when my cerotes were on 17m fat ladys and the Naish Fly. So Dr light wind has it right, once the kite gets apparent wind it really goes and gets very powered. Can only imagine what the 17m must feel like

Hi guys

I just received my small Cloud formation (8-13m) today, so I should be able to report how well they work on the snow here in Southern Ontario by the weekend. Stay tuned!

Thanks Greg and family!

Thanks DrLW,
From what I've read before, I would trust your reports on the Cloud.
The two wind readings I am most interested in is the wind where it will sit directly overhead without working it and the minimum relaunch wind.
I have found both are the same for my 13m Xbow.

The overhead one is one where it would be very easy to compare kites side by side. It could even be done on a beach and the two kiters could walk upwind or downwind to give an idea of what difference in windspeed was necessary to keep the two kites overhead.

For the relaunch, is it a normal relaunch by pumping two offset rear lines and then launching the kite off its side or have you tried rolling it over into the hot launch position and pumping it into the air?

This is what I would call a normal light wind relaunch, although it would be better done with a large twintip on your feet.
