Has anyone bought a strutless kite?
They are already selling these kites and is strange that no one on the forum has not said anything.
Personally I love the concept but I would like to know the opinion of someone unrelated to the company, for obvious reasons.

I also think the starting price is higher than I expected, at the end of the day it is still a kite with less material but I guess you have to pay for a new concept, I believe that sales will not take off if there isn't demos Mr D. style :D

I remember the success with the Best Waroo in 2006 they sold lots of kites with a new concept but at a lower price than its competitors as the famous Cabrihna Crossbow.
today it is more difficult to see a Best kite than in years 2006-2008 and I think that's partly because they no longer provide a competitive advantage as years ago.

I think a kite without ribs will be difficult to overcome the stability and performance of a strutkite but can give a good bite out of the market if a product is accessible and simple.

I don't think the kites have started shipping yet. I am sure there will be reports on this as more get them.

The difference between this and the waroo was that they came out late..years after most other companies had their flat kite out...so if you do not compete on innovation, they used to compete on price...I think this is an actual evolution of the sport.

Thanks DR LW ......i checked it out...by clicking HERE

Now question for you...can you find out since there is NO struts to give support to LE.........
....the amount of PSI required / recommended to keep that LE from bending under higher wind load

Also find out about inflation / deflation ( all in one)
Is it a speed valve with direct hose bayonet style connect for EZ fast pumping like my big Core ?

Or is it standard inflation with separate dump valve?

Thanks Doctor

Appears to be the standard 7 - 8 PSI did the job when I gave a half an hour light wind test today,
without any bending or collapse even during light wind 7 - 8 mph EZ relaunch :thumb:
There are 4 bridal attachment on the left and 4 bridal attachment on the right,
which are giving the firmness to the LE with the 2 rigid inflated wingtips.

Yes, inflation / deflation are all in one.

Appears to be the valve is the same as Cabrinha's single open "bayonet style" valve,
SupaEZ about 2 minutes :pump:

So the dump valve is part of Cabrinha bayonet quick assembly together with the inflation,
which means there is only one location where you inflate to screw on the pump's hose attachment
and to deflate; to unscrew the valve assembly.

Seem a bit long of a pumping time :D for just leading edge and wingtips of a 17m2

Next time at your normal pace.. time it again....it should be just over one minute in my opinion

Also tell me how many pumps you have to do with double action pump...
.....only count the amount of full downward pushes (not halves) you have to do to get to 7-8PSI

Just curious...i just want to compare with my 19 who has bayonet twist-on type to hose speed valve

My specs are 97 full pumps (55 of them totally effortless) to get to 6PSI
That is all i need to put in and the LE never bends out of shape even when out in 18 knots
Core recommends between 6 and 7

Other specs is time to pump.. thin LE of the 19 + 5 thin struts........(not superthin..but just right)
At normal pace it is filled EZ in 80 seconds...and the LE feels tight like the skin of a drum

This is not a contest between 2 kites

Just interesting valuable information...........knowledge is power....especially in ULW
I always want to know more specs than less specs when companies put products out there to sell

.....and now some smilies :pump: :surf: :sun: :thanx:  :strong: :cooltext: :coolshades: ....
