As i said, I would recomend removing the fin box after glueing the two halves together.
It will be much easier to ensure a perfect reconstruction of the bottom deck if glued first, before removing the box.
Ok so i first glue both pieces dthan remoe the box? how can i remove it without the board splitting upNico wrote:As i said, I would recomend removing the fin box after glueing the two halves together.

Personally i would remove the box halves out of the board first. It way easier that way to get it removed.kinchencool wrote:Ok so i first glue both pieces dthan remoe the box? how can i remove it without the board splitting upNico wrote:As i said, I would recomend removing the fin box after glueing the two halves together.

I did go to a couple surf shop shapers and most said it will be hard to fix and expensive a guy estimated around 200 dollars is that reasonable? also not many people here work with epoxy.fredmendes wrote:Why don't you ask a good shaper in your area for an estimate of the repair?
You will probably end up with a better and cheaper repair than if you go, buy the materials and do it yourself, since from your questions I assume you have no idea of what a repair like that involves.
