As i said, I would recomend removing the fin box after glueing the two halves together.
It will be much easier to ensure a perfect reconstruction of the bottom deck if glued first, before removing the box.

Ok so i first glue both pieces dthan remoe the box? how can i remove it without the board splitting up
and where do they sale boxes i cant find them anywhere also would rods be very heavy? or could the epóxy just do it

Personally i would remove the box halves out of the board first. It way easier that way to get it removed.

It will make no big difference when you are putting in a new box.

good tips overall but DO NOT GLUE THE 2 HALVES WITH EPOXY!! The Epoxy will most surely melt the EPS foam while it is curing and even if it doesn't you'll end up with a sort of epoxy "stringer" in the middle of the board which will alter it's flex caractheristics.

Glue the 2 parts using a RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM SYSTEM and clamping them together very tightly. If you can't get your hands on a good marine 2 component urethane system use one of those PU spray cans they sell at DIY stores. It's still a lot better than using epoxy resin.

After you glue the 2 parts together sand down the whole joint and an area of at least 3 inches each side of the joint. Then you have 2 options:

1 (cheapest) - just laminate the whole strip with Epoxy and at least 3 layers of 4oz cloth, sand, fair and paint

2 (better) - sand through the pvc sandwich and vacuum laminate a new sandwich strip and laminate with epoxy and carbon fibre plus 1 layer of 4oz cloth, sand, fair and paint

option 2 is the sensible one and you don't need any rods for reinforcement.

Thanks could i still be competitive tho? combining it with my new Ozone 2013 and a good pair of Ristas also would it resist?

I tried removing the fin box but its impossible almoast its stick really hard and i dont want to break the board.

Why don't you ask a good shaper in your area for an estimate of the repair?

You will probably end up with a better and cheaper repair than if you go, buy the materials and do it yourself, since from your questions I assume you have no idea of what a repair like that involves.

I did go to a couple surf shop shapers and most said it will be hard to fix and expensive a guy estimated around 200 dollars is that reasonable? also not many people here work with epoxy.

200 dolaars is reasonable.
Specially if you've never done it yourself.
You will need tools and machinery to do it properly, without experience it could well end up a stuff up and you will lose the whole thing.

Ps Gunnar, you are right it will be easier to remove the box when the board is in two, but the risk of not getting a perfect match of the hull there after is too high to go for that option IMO.
