2012 Switchblade or OR Razor

Ok, I'm an intermediate rider doing mainly rolls, some loops, and working in unhooking. I ride about 70% of the time on a twintip, 30% on a surfboard. I've tried both kites, actually I've tried numerous kites, and I'm looking at making a quiver change to one of these two kites.

I like the speed and responsiveness of the Razor, and I like the stability and construction of the Switchblade. I also prefer the Cabrinha bar, mainly because of the protective sleeve over the depower line.

So, any long-term thoughts on these two kites?

Can't comment on the razor, but I've tried a few Switchblades, I've always found them super stable with awesome hang time...but a little slow, one of the best if you want to pull big air though

Razor for looping, unhooked, and very stable. And has a plastic sheath on the depower. Razor will take you further in your progression. But the SB is dependable, stable etc. talk to johnB is it? He loves his razors.

Razor.
Guess what I'm riding... ;-)

Did you try the "less depower" setting? Makes the Razor a bit slower / stable but with good bar input it still turns fast. (I put the 7 & 5 on less depower and slower steering, the 10 on fast and more depower)
What size did you try?

i think the Cabrinha depowers to both front lines just as the Razor does, so maybe you can use the Razor with the Cab bar/lines?

OZ-He is asking about the OR Razor, not the Airush Razor.

Yeah I tried the 12 on the fastest setting/more due power. I may try that if I get a 8m.

if you're working on unhooking id recommend against the switchblade. its a great beginner and old man kite and is good for jumping, decent at surfing waves. but the unhooked sweet spot is really small and gives a massive surge of power when trying to unhook (like all bow/sle kites but worse). the lines are also crap and stretch really easily

if you want a kite you can actually learn tricks on id go for something more c-shaped if not an actual kite
