Dynabar V6 bungee life

Postby aeberl » Mon Sep 24, 2012 1:59 pm

My Dynabar has only about 5 sessions under its belt and the bungee is allready showing serious wear where it exits the mounting hole. Before replacing it with the spare bungee that might suffer the same wear, are there any suggestions as to how to avoid this issue?

Don't be turned off by this minor problem to ty out a Dynabar. I would no go out to kite in the waves without it.

Something unusual must be chafing for it to break in 5 sessions.

I've been using a Dynabar (prototype, V3, and V6) for over 4 years and have yet to replace a bungie. I would say my current Dynabar V6 has over 200 sessions on it. My original prototype probably has well over 200 sessions also...bungie still good....slightly stretched out but intact and functional.

Hope you get it sorted and let us know if you descover why it's wearing faster than normal.

The edges of the hole where the bungee is fixed could be sharp, normally we make it smooth and on your DYNABAR isn't. We will soon produce a new bungee with PA sleeves, same protection we use for dyneema.

It seems than a round file and a fiew minutes of dedication are the solution.
