Shannon, Jeff, Jeff, Alex & Peter made a formidable team.
As for Alex, I had the odd phone call at like 2am with him raving about some new kite Peter had just finished. That pump and drive for the sport and his disruptive marketing were sensational.
Even if he had no grasp of international timezones.

BEST have come a long long way since the early days of Yargas + Nemesis and burnouts in the company car park for sure.
It's now a high end brand with a very polished corporate image. I am a bit surprised that BEST (the company) have not contacted their dealers or made any public statement about Shannon leaving. Probably still sorting out his final pay
But as one of the 3 wise men who founded the company leaves, I'd expect more transparency.
Maybe there is a really good back story.
And lets face it, what we don't know... we just make up

Nah, I've little to add to the press release. The guy's a legend and I'll miss spending time & riding with him at team shoots. He has projects on the runway already and If past performance is an indicator of success he'll be rocking us all again with some new stuff pretty damn quick.

Well Shannon is a legend, but haven´t seen much to him in years publicity vise in Best...

I have only flown Best kites since 2007. I am not sure what he did for the company aside from lend his name. His PR value was near zero from my perspective. Maybe he had more to do with the company in the 2004-2006 time frame.

All I can do is yawn at this news
