Hey guys, I ride in small waves and winds from 12-22 knots. I have 2 2012 rebels a 10m and a 13m(main one). and Weight 100Kg.
I wanted to buy a north nugget to go for small waves and low wind days, but the 2012 are out of stock here in Brazil and will be a couple of months before the 2013 arrives.
My friend is selling a North wam 2012 in pretty good condition for a "buddy" price. The problem is he's small and the board is the smallest of the wams 5'8" . But it's a good oportunity of a fine board with a nice price. Do you guys think that a 5'8 will be small for my 100kgs and maybe not a good board for small waves for me, since it's an all around board? And how will it perform in low wind? All i'm having right now is 15+ knots winds to try.

Hey I am 90kg, ride rebels 7-10-13 and I have a Wam. 5'8" will be too small for you unless u ride in really powered conditions(+25mph). Chances are that if you ride away from the wave top with speed the front of the board will sink and not give u enough flotation.. The difference between a 6 and 5'8 seems small but in reality it is not. I would definitely go for a 6'0. I have a 5'9" for the big waves and windy day but I don't use it in normal conditions. I will be in Jeri in about 3 weeks so if You want I can sell you my6'0" board. It's new.

Get the Whip 5'8 instead. floatier than Wham and not as corky as the nugget.
