The Kiteboard Racing World Championship, which will conclude tomorrow at Poetto after four days with a high technical and competitive races expressed their top riders. Even today the scirocco made it to master the challenge of the Gold fleet male and the Women fleet, still in contention for the Medal Race. The stars of the four races of the day were Johnny Heineken (USA) and Steph Bridge (GB). But, once we uses the discard, the overall leader in the female is Erika Heineken.
Completed the fleets of ten riders each that tomorrow will play for the Medal Race and the jackpot.

Like in the last few days, the Poetto welcomed the competitors with flat water and no air. Nobody was worried as the various National Team had learned to know the secrets of the Bay of Angels. And you know that, suddenly, at least the famous thermal wind would rise. Instead, for the third consecutive day, the scirocco wanted to be in the game, gusty, with initial intensity of 16 knots going to fall in the final. The start around 12, while the audience began to populate the beach of the 'sixth stop' for a close encounter with samples from all over the world and observe their kites.

The two race courses were laid by the organizers of Yacht Club Cagliari.
Among the latter, the reigning world champion Steph Bridge - captain of the British and the mother of three children, the largest of which also involved him in the championship - has fielded all his talent, winning three out of four races against her opponent Erika Heineken. For five points, however, Erica, the U.S. Lady, stays in the lead of the group of the top ten admitted to the Medal race: after her, Steph Bridge (GB), Caroline Adrien (FRA), Katja Roose (NED), Nayara Licariao (BRA), Christine Boenniger (GER), Elena Kalinina (RUS), Alice Brunacci (ITA), Lilian De Geus (NED), Justina Sellers (NZL).

Five races in total instead of the Gold Fleet male. The first result is actually the position obtained during the qualifying races. En plein without appeal for Johnny Heineken. With him the access to the Medal arises: Andrea Riccardo Leccese (ITA), Adam Koch (USA), Florian Gruber (GER), Kerneur Julien (FRA), Bryan Lake (USA), Maxime Nocher (FRA), Wilson Veloso (BRA) Dave Robertson (NZL), Adam Victor (BRA).

The formula for the Medal race consists of three races for each group (the first one is already the achieved placement in Gold Fleet), via the shortest compared to what has been seen, and positioned in close proximity to the beach. And 'provided for the inclusion of the mistral, to make it even more spectacular the final of the championship, which will be open to the public from the presentation of the twenty finalists.

So for the medal races on day 4, as I understand it, the 10 men and 10 women in their races start off as if there has already been a race and they finished in the order in which they qualified out of the Gold fleet races.

There was originally talk of holding three medal races and now there is talk of only two being run.

From what I have seen on Windfinder, the wind is light but expected to pick up at about 4 pm.

That might be too risky to wait for, so they may run the races in light offshore winds and they want to run them close to the shore.
Sounds like there could be problems.

Here is the live wind reading at the nearby Cagliari Airport

The coverage hasn't been that fast or that comprehensive, but here is the official site for the Championship.
