New/ special North Click Bar spotted

Postby NorCalNomad » Tue May 02, 2017 8:03 pm

Interesting setup seen on iksurfmag of Olly's race bar setup.

Click bar (at least the molds and the winder is on) with a 2:1 depower line and different color molding... :?:

Wonder what the story is here.

Also looking at lots of racer's setups it looks like a lot of them aren't running any sort of safety line or system. Guessing that's due to what other ways you can kill power on a foil kite.

From what I heard he used a prototype click bar to do fine tuning for different kite sizes and conditions and put a race depower on it for rapid adjustments rounding the marks.

I showed my 'non' kiting wife a hydrofoils racing vid.
After years as an observer, she knows her stuff.
She said, "is that the beginners race??
They are all doing the 'poo' stance!!"
