K2H, thanks for providing the service of saying what we all really think, but restrain ourselves from typing in public. Between you and Flight Time, I can always count on the fact that the rage of the younger me (that is still somewhere in the back of my mind) is always expressed. :thumb:

Sorry for encouraging the BS bleed over. It is never a good idea to feed the trolls. Having a few drinks right now and thought it was amusing.

As a team rider for Epic (http://www.epickites.com/team/jessica.php) I have quite a quiver of kites for myself and my school. I find each kite to be unique and offer something different depending on the conditions. For example I love my 9m screamer for unhooking and tricks. I just won the women's freestyle in Mexico and made it to the 1/4 finals MEN's with that kite. The 9m Renegade is a powerhouse and it's perfect for my speed racing. I just currently broke my own speed record on that kite with a speed of 33.9 knots in 19 knots of wind! The 13m Renegade is a truck for me to ride but it loops surprising easy and provides a lot of stability. Recently i've grown a new love for the 7m Renegade over the Screamer because I like the way its more forgiving in the air but pulls nicely when doing unhooked kiteloops. I've included a few pics for you to see :) Cheers Jessica www.jessicawinkler.com

And you've got a nice new Shinn board to go with them!

A question for Dimitri and everybody else experienced enough with Epic kites:

Which Renegade size should I choose for a 50kg rider as the equivalent of the 13m LTD for a 90kg (205lbs) rider?

Kinda worried that the 11m might be a tad too big and 9m a tad too small.

Alex,

What wind range ? To give you an example, my wife is 126lbs and ride a Renegade 11m from 14-20knots with a small board. But she also have a bigger kite for 8-14 knots. So if your friend will ride mostly around Mtl area and will not have any other kite then I would say the Renegade 11m would be best but if she will travel and kite mostly outside our LW province then the R9 would be better suit IMO.

Ya this Phenomenal women's freestyle board is the best board i've ever had on my feet. It's smooth, flexible and has mad pop! I'm also a team rider for Shinn http://www.shinnworld.com/#!team/ctxu

Having the right equipment is important and i'm so thankful for Epic and Shinn!!

To Alex,

I'm 56kg & I ride the 13m Renegade in 8 - 10 knots, 12m Screamer in 12 - 14 knots, the 11m Renegade in 14 - 16 knots. 9m Renegade is 16 - 18 knots, the 9m Screamer in 16 - 20 knots, the 8m Judge in 17 - 20 knots, the 7m Renegade in 20 + knots. I have A LOT of kites and hopefully this will help
