Thank you all for such a quick response. I really appreciate that.

Okay, so it is clear that I will not be using this bar for now.

Dimitri, thank you for your personal response. I have not sent you an e-mail before, but now that I know that it is the required procedure, I will. We bought the bar with PDC Kiteboarding School in Playa del Carmen. Unfortunately, there was so little wind there that we have not used the Epic kite until we arrived a few weeks ago to Brazil. It is here that we found out about the QR. Like I said, after the first incident, I tried using it again, but now after the second, I will not anymore. Too bad really because this is the only kite that I own at the moment.

As for me loving Epic kites, I do not know what to tell you Dimitri. I like the color - might be a girly answer, but consider it a compliment. The thing is I am a beginner, I may have used 4 different kites by now, but none much intensively. What I can tell you, is that the Epic kite takes ages to pump by hand, which is pretty crappy when you are a girl. If I do not pump it hard enough, the kite does not seem to respond well. It kind of becomes hard to handle (like there is not enough wind), but yeah, experience obviously has to do something with that too, I guess. The best I can tell you (in comparison) is that I have much more fun with the 9m North, but that could be because it is just smaller. And yeah, the pump hurts my hands too.

I appreciate that you are taking this seriously, before something bad happens.

I will send you an e-mail and I hope that we can resolve this with a Brazilian dealer, so that I do not have to be without kiting long. I have already waited so long to come here and I just nailed going upwind!

Thanks guys.

TSOP
These guys from "PDC KiteBoarding School" are great. I just emailed "PDC Kiteboarding School in Playa del Carmen" about what happened to you and got an email back from them few minutes ago. They know exactly who you are since they tough you how to kite and sold you some EPIC kites and they will take care of you and check the CL for you. So please get in touch with them as soon as possible. This is their email: pdckiteboarding@gmail.com
Concerning pumping the kites its part of the warm up before you go kiting so you don't pull any muscles. All kites are hard to pump but its part of the sport. This is the reason why I never use electric pump or compressors to pump my kite I have kids doing it for me. Maybe its time for you to get some kids.

Hehe, of course they know who I am.

Thank you for that, however, is this of any use? We are not going back to Playa del Carmen, and we will be in Brazil for the next couple of months. Would it not be more helpful if you get me in touch with a dealer here?

Thank you.

As for me having kids, after having found this today, I have decided that I am ready: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater

This is from a FACEBOOK message I got today from a kiter.
Once again make sure to demo an EPIC kite before making your final decision or else you will "kicking yourself to death" like this kiter.

We keep getting email/messages like this too!

"Just a quick note to thank you for the advice around my new epic oxygen kiteboard. As a big fella, it has transformed my kitesurfing progression. Kiting in light winds is much easier and today it hit 30knts and rode it for 6hrs. What a blast! "

And you must be the biggest pussy in kiteboarding...

According to your video, your QR works just fine. You're just to weak to release it. You already said you bought new kites...so just move on and quit crying like a little whiney baby. Go away douche bag!
