P.S. He could not beleive the hang time and speed of the SCREAMER 10 ltd (4G) kite. Plus the new (4G) Chicken Loop blew his mind.

I was fortunate enough to get about 2 hours kiting on the Screamer 10 Ltd 4G prototype this weekend in winds ranging from 16-28 mph. I weigh around 180lbs and this is my 4th season kiting. I've been riding a 2010 Screamer 10 Ltd since my first season and this was an awesome opportunity for me to compare the old versus new. First off let me say I love my old Screamer, but like others have said before.... it's a bit twitchy to say the least. It does have a ton of power and shoots upwind with ease. And it definitely boosts like crazy! All that being said it is a kite that always required my full attention. Gusts were a definite headache on this kite. Since 2010 I've been fortunate enough to be able to try each version of the Screamer 10. The 2011 was definitely more stable, but less powerful and didn't go upwind quite as well IMO. And the 3G 10m was excellent. So good that when Dimitri convinced my girlfriend to give it a go she was an instant convert from her beloved Renegade 11 (2010). Well the new 4G kite is absolutely AMAZING!. I kited on and off with it for a few hours yesterday and it was super stable and crazy powerful for it's size. It actually feels more powerful than the 3G Screamer 12 to me. And upwind ability was mind blowing. My girlfriend and I both couldn't believe how the kite basically drags you upwind effortlessly. Boosting was excellent, as it is with all the Screamers. Needless to say I think I may finally have to retire my ex-Favorite kite, my 2010 Screamer 10 in favor of the new 4G model. It has exceeded all of me and my girlfriends expectations about what is possible with a well designed 10 meter kite. Of course I can definitely foresee my girlfriend and I fighting over who gets to fly it

But you can't possibly compare me to Michel and PMU.... I really do try to keep a somewhat respectful and sane tone to my posts. I have overstepped on occasion but I think for the most part I have succeeded in doing so. Don't you think?

Dear Mr.alexeyga,
As you probably know we always listen to our customers and try to come up with different ideas and suggestions that we get from kiters all around the world. I think you were the one complaining of the DEPOWER STRAP not grabbing the strap after a while because of the teeth wearing down from using the strap a lot for powering & depowering it. So after lots of emails back and forth with the factory, I was able to find a metal one. Will be using these on our last prototypes Bars. Hope that makes you happy since I never had problems with the old plastic buckle.

I'm not the one who you need to keep happy as i'm already happily using another brand's bar. But i'm glad to see that with enough input you do actually start listening to what your customers have to say.

At this rate, by G6 or G7, we might actually get a bar that is up to date with the current technologies and trends.

The next step would be to change the lines for non-stretch ones. Free 15m sets with Renegades sound awesome in a selling speech, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd prefer to have a line set that the rider can count on to be true and all equal on a daily basis.

B.t.w. the 10Ltd worked a lot better with the 4" difference in lines - fronts being longer. Somebody must have forgotten to mention to customers to tune the rear attachment points if they'll be using Epic kites with bars where all lines are actually equal - for the best performance that is.

And you were right, 10Ltd works pretty well in waves, but it's not as responsive as the Renegade with some slack in rears.

With all due respect Mr.alexeyga but why do you think EPIC KITES has such a great product!!!!
That is because we listen to our customers and take their inputs very seriously. But again you can't make every body happy and that is the reason why you have so many kite companies out there to choose from. Again from all the bars we've sold, we probably had less then 3% of these DEPOWER STRAPS going bad, but its always good to have an open mind and try new things in our product line. This is the reason why I posted this picture of the new metal buckle.
Now concerning the lines... All our kites are set up to fly perfectly out of the bag. Every shipment we get, I take at least 8 to 15 kites out for my demos and personal use and 98% of the time they are perfectly trimmed. You have to understand I cannot open and fly every kite we get in order to make sure the lines or knots are perfectly set up because then it won't be a new kite. We get thousands of kites and we cannot open each one of them and try to fly them.
Concerning G6 or G7 trend. We got something even better for the G4 product. No need for G6 or G7.
Any way, I'm always trying to do the best I can to help my fellow kiters with our product line. But this is not a perfect world and you cannot please every one.
