Rimas Kinka started in Jacksonville, FL and headed south on Saturday morning. He had covered an amazing 282.1 miles in 34 hours, 41 minutes and 27 seconds when he finished. He was heading for Crandon Park in Miami for an overall distance of 350 miles but heavy seas and adverse wind direction forced him to end earlier than he planned.

Nice good effort!.

I can relate to that night picture.I did a landboarding 24hr a couple of years ago and felt exactly the same in the small hours of the morning!

might be doing another 24hr next week. we will see what the wind brings.

That is why I put "Non-Stop" in quotes, as it is defined differently than you might think. Rimas explained it himself as posted above. When in doubt, read the post first?

"According GWR rules I can do pit stops for change tires ( kite, board ), also can stop for fuel ( food, water, coffee). During stops I can not leave the beach or take of my GPS devices, (3 Garmin units), all my stops has to be recordet on video."

If you google Guinness non-stop record you will find a lot of others with varying rest breaks. There was a guy whole bowled for almost six days "non-stop" taking breaks with the longest being two hours.

I wonder what you would call the record if it was really non-stop!
