A friend is selling his gear and buying new he offered to sell me (he is putting them up on craigslist next week) his 2009 best 13m waroo stealth edition with a new bladder and in good condition, 2010 best 9m bularoo in great condition with little use, and a bar and lines for both for $800. I have seen both kites in use, rode the 9m, inspected both, and I trust the seller.I live up in ohio so its a little tricky to find good deals and these seem like a great deal for a new rider looking to get into the sport on a budget. I weight 170lbs and these seem like good sizes for my area. I have about 5 days to make up my mind and at this point I think I am going to pull the trigger but I thought I would ask if you all have any concerns about this deal as I am so new to the sport.
Also he spent about two hours helping me learn to ride (I had just taken an intro course in cocoa beach) and gave me loads of info and advice so even if it is not the most incredible deal price wise I don't mind.

Yes this is a great deal
mcurcio1989. Get these kites and then once you get better in kiting invest in something newer and better.
Good luck.

Great deal....But the guy some beers for the two hours you spent with him also...at a kite school that 2 hours would have cost 400 dollars.

Check ebay.co.uk, ebay.de or ebay.com i believe you can get a better deal...since he is going to help you out it sounds like a solid deal as you will have support which is more important in the beginning!

Well I bought them and they are in the mail. I have been keeping an eye on eBay for the past month or so and I have not found any deals even close to this price. Even so, I really wouldnt be upset if I paid a little more than there worth for the reasons I already said. I feel better buying gear that I have seen and used and from a trustworthy seller.
