Xenon Laluz 2013 - First ride

So yesterday we had the best sideshore wind ever in Tel Aviv,
and I had the chance to ride the new Xenon Laluz 135 for more than an hour.
The board is really forgiving and snappy, feels like my 132 board (laluz 2010).
The landings are easier and softer, probably the combo of the new 2013 board and the new size.
I landed kiteloops and railies that I don't think I would with my board.
Personally, I also like the minimalist design of the board... lots of room for stickers :naughty:
For conclusion : If you like TT boards, you must give this one a try.
I love my 2010 laluz but now I know its time for an upgrade 8)

nightwalker - How where the comparisons of the new 2013 Rayo to the previous models ?
I guess you didn't ride the Rayo yourself but probably other guys on the beach gave them a try...

Hi to all,

I'm interested in buying a 2013 laluz. The local dealer gave me a 2012 test model to ride. It was the 1.32*40 sized. I gave it a try for an hour or so with my 10m kite and wind at about 14-17 knots (not much). It had much softer landings than my north gonzales (1.35*39), less spray, more pop (I'm trying to pop actually). The only thing that wansn't quite "ok" is the feeling I had on edging. There were times that I couldn't edge hard enough. :-?
My weight is 78 kg and I'm not sure if I should go for the 1,32 or the 1,35. Could you help? :)

I'm also 78 kg and think the 135 is the perfect size. I ride in chop, mainly wind 13 - 18 knots. It's amazing in chop - the first board I've found that is comfortable in chop (I think because of the flex in the tips) but still pops incredibly well (I think because of the outline and square tips). If you're riding flat water or stronger wind most of the time, the 132 would probably be fine, too.

Still crazy happy with the 2012 135 La Luz. I am currently 80 kilos and use it mainly with a 12 mt kite from 12 knots to 18 before I switch down to a 9. Super smooth, soft landings...love the simple elegance of the design.

The guys at Xenon are doing an amazing job.
check out the board selector on the Xenon website:
http://www.xenonboards.com/en/boards

It will help you decide which size will be best for you.
I weigh in at 176 pounds, thats about 80 kilos and ride the LaLuz 135.

Enjoy your new board :thumb:

thank you all for your help. I used the xenon configurator and it seems that the 1.35 is a better choice for me. I'll ask for a test ride too for this size. :thumb:
