After a full on wet March, looks like the rainy season is over now...and winds are returning.
Forecast is awesome from Sunday on!

Cauipe lagoon has lots of water. The Icarai/Tabuba lagoon has been closed and is filling up with fresh rain water now.
Wishing everyone a great windy season!

this year the rainy season hit every record possible...raining since end of December!
Sure, always some windy days in between...but overall really bad wind this year.
Hope are up that wind comes back soon...maybe already next week...forecast looks good for some days.
Tired of the rain!

Funny how perspective is everything..after years of (near) drought conditions, especially further inland, local population is cheering.
Of course I hope the wind will return in full force soon, but it's only early June and the wind will return as it always does.

wind was disappointing this week...because the wind didn't turn like it normally does...
But, forecast for next week looks perfect...this should be the start of the windy season...fingers crossed!

Before Corona plans were to make Fortaleza a hub...this is why Fraport (Frankfurt airport management) took over the airport...tourism is also booming soon...and so will flights...guess from 2023 we will be back on track with flights from allover...like Miami, Panama, Oslo, Germany, Lisbon, Paris, Italy etc...
Then flight will be cheaper again...this season is expensive.

well, really strange. Wind is forecasted, and normally it comes...but, nowadays the wind direction stays South !
It's normal in the morning, but then it switches to easterly...and blows nicely. Since 2 weeks forecast looks great daily...but, S and SE winds, which is sideoffshore...
I never experienced this here...and July should be already windy season with its know nice wind.
We had rain like never before during this rainy season...maybe this is why the wind does not turn...the land is still too wet...so the thermals don't kick in and make the wind direction switch...
Let's see...I can only hope....

At least the lagoons should be nice and full. But if weather patterns change and we lose that consistent wind…
