Hey Tony, if you shoot across 80 instead of 75, you'll end in West Palm, You got Flag Pole/Charlie's Crab (Palm Beach, $2/hr for parking if you find any) or another 35 mins North, Jupiter kite beach, which is really good, or between the 2, you got Reef Rd (singer Island), but there's no parking there, so you need to go to Singer island, and kite down past the inlet, and is right there, but obviously need to work your way back upwind to singer when you're done, Free parking
We get some decent waves in Lake Worth ($2/hr parking), about 10 mins South, and another 15 mins south you got Delray (Don't know how much $ for parking), I hear gets good, but honestly not sure, never kited there.

When winds are strong out of the N, even ENE, Ft. Pierce can have some very nice swells. If it is strong enough there can even be three breaks well offshore. We need to launch south of the inlet.
The waves improve in quality, as a rule, the further north you go in South Florida. Starting all the way south in the Keys, you really don't have much to speak of in most areas. Miami through Pompano Beach, you get some waves but usually shorter wavelength, choppier waves. There can be exceptions but you also need side to side onshore kiteable winds to go with, removing some of the exceptions from consideration. They also break fairly close to shore although the bars formed by Hurricane Sandy may have shifted the break a little bit seaward. The waves start to improve from Deerfield up through Delray but can become larger and better formed off Jupiter and points north. The Bahamas shields SE Florida from most deepwater, longer fetch waves. As you go north you start to come out of the lee of the Bahamas the waves improve.
If you aren't used to waves, coming from Ft. Myers you might not be, starting with the smaller stuff in Ft. Laud. to Pompano would be a good idea. There have been a number of guys who had trouble with the waves in Delray through Jupiter and points north when they came from calmer conditions.

Jupiter sounds like a good place to start. Some aids to improve the odds that wind and waves are going off before you drive over are at the link below. It includes weather info and livecams in the area that may help HERE
