Nobile 50fifty owners - fin question

I recently bought a 2013 50fifty and it came with 55cm fins. The fins feel too big. Has anyone fitted their board with smaller fins? If so what size works well for you?

I was thinking about ordering a set of fins from these people,

Anyone know of anywhere else that makes fins?

I do not know any others but I did order from these guys and I did not have a great experience. The fitment was wrong and it took them forever to ship me my fins.

I ultimately ended up paying a little more for the brand name fins off of Ebay.

WildDuke,
The Fifty50 has always been released with the 35mm fins. If you got your board from your local dealer, they should have the 35mm stock G10 fins.

Correct, 50/Fifty comes with with smaller, 35mm G10 fins.

50/50 is a great board BTW, I ride it as my all around.

I second that, I love the fifty/50, have 2 of them (older and current model year), strongly suggest the default smaller fins.. defeats the skatiness of the board if you're going to put 'regular fins' on. The guy at the store didn't know that the default are the G10s, had to educate him, I bought a 2nd set of the regular fins but haven't used them yet. I've even considered removing the fins altogether.

I apologize for trolling, but WildDuke, we have an extra set of Nobile 35mm fins if you want them.

WOW!! Thank you! How much do you want for them and will you post to Australia? We can swap if you like? I can send you my 55cm fins.

Also... since you are a Nobile dealer, question for ya, do you have any information about the 50fifty wake edition board? Apart from the very vague website description I cannot find any information on it. Have you seen it? Tried it? Know anything about it?

WildDuke, we can ship to Oz via USPS Priority Mail International. No need to swap. Contact us at sales@adventurekiteboarding.com and we can estimate shipping and price. Just provide your address in your email.

The US distributor is in New Jersey and I didn't go to see them this year, plus, we have a pretty small market for the wake style boards. Long story made short -- no, I haven't seen or tried the 50/Fifty wakestyle board. Sorry.

Thanks,
Stafford

50Fifty WAKE has heaps more rocker than even the old 2010-2011 50Fifty. You need to be extremely powered. It is very heavy but bullet proof. Super smooth through open water or chop, even more than the old 2010's. Weight is its only draw back.

Nearly all riders here use 40mm or 55mm on their 50fifty's to hold more power down as the 35's tend to release too early in the pop when really loaded. This is more freeride style. If wanting to do surface passes easier then put 35mm on.

I actually want use the board behind a boat. Hows the flex on it? I don't want a board to flexy. Do you have any pics of it with your binding on? What size fins does it come with? Is the rocker continuous or 3/5 stage?

Thanks, I rode the 50fifty with the 55mm fins again and you are correct it has a super locked in feel, but I really prefer the the feel of a looser board. I guess I wont know till I try, but when I do, I will share my comments with you all!
