Dan, I haven't removed any line from the kite, just the blue pigtail from the 2 noselines that are attached between them. In anyway a line shoudn't change its length because you remove it from the kite :-)
Iooking at the thread again I'm guessing what the problem is. The 2 noselines don't have to be attached in the middle as it appear in one of my pictures right? they probably the same length if you completly untie them which I didn' do as I could not read the right way to attach them again. If you can confirm wrogu's diagram is the right setup I will give a try and report back. Also why this is not documented by North? is not something you can guess and it seems from factory the lines are not attached correctly, at least in my case. cheers, Isidro

What is the length of this small pigtail? If I can't get the original one I will try to make this small pigtail by myself.

I must be missing something. It sounds like you disconnected the 5th line pigtail, then got a knot in one of your noselines, and are unaware that the knot shouldn't be in the noseline. The solution is: take the knot out of the noseline, and attach the pigtail to the end of both noselines, which should make the connection point smack in the centerline of the kite.

As far as I can tell, getting from your current situation to a perfectly working kite should be very easy, particularly with the various photos and diagrams from myself and Br-RJ-Kite. If the problem is not simply understanding that you need to attach the pigtail at the end of both (unknotted) noselines, let me know what it is.

I do not know where you can get that noseline. As far as I am aware, this is not a part normally stocked by anyone anywhere near you. I'm attaching a closeup photo of the pigtail next to a measuring tape because there can be many different ways to measure it. But after everything has been attached, your 5th line should be about 1.5 - 2cm from the noselines. It should be a pretty simple line to make, or you may even be able to make a standard pigtail from a local kiteshop work.
