It wouldn't surprise me if people are buying V3's just to spite those two

Try the kite out and write up a proper review.

So SupaEZ are you saying that it is possible to fly the kite if its 3knots on the beach with a hand held wind metre?
Thank you windsuks....for a great informative question for all... that i will gladly answer :thumb:
Yes it is possible!

The most "extreme example of unique weather" happens in late July or early August at my beach
My beach faces directly East 90 degrees
So when we get a persistent light South 180 degrees wind (sideshore) for a few days..................
......the top layer of the ocean water is replaced by cold plankton rich water...called upwelling
Surface temp drops from 80 to 65F almost overnight
The sideshore light wind hovering a few meters over the water surface is soooooooooooo powerful

You will only measure and feel 3kn on beach...launch kite overhead it will pull steady like it is 6kn
But as soon as you get in the totally glassy cold water you will be capable to ride as if......
.......you had 12kn of power in your kite......it feels like a dream....as if you were kiting indoors!!!

Once again wind power scale:
4.5kn has double the power of 3kn....(1.5kn difference is not much but power difference is extreme)
6.0kn has quadruple the power of 3kn
9.0kn has 9 times the power of 3kn....and 9kn is the wind power needed to perform with V3.. IMO!!

So ask yourself....wouldn't you need UNIQUE type weather to ride in 9 times less powerful wind?
It does not need to be as extreme as upwelling....but something just a bit similar in nature would do

I flew the V3 in 3kn and it started to back down and had to sine or loop it...no go for sure on water
At 4kn it did fly but the pull on lines was sooo weak that it would not be sufficient to ride on water
5kn to 6kn ( avg.5.5kn) of "power in the kite" seems just about right on 11ft SUP riding in still glass

Dear windsuks please read up how i get my extreme unique upwelling riding conditions....thanks!

So basicly you also saying. Yes its very well possible Dimitri and others have measured a 2/4 knot session and went out with that wind. For me and i guess for more people measuring a certain wind lets say 4knots. Is in fact a 4knot session to me. :thumb:

I dont care what happens on 10ms high because basicly thats the same freaking problem if i have a 22knot session. Probably even more difference.

So your last 100  posts trying to disprove Dimitri you were actually saying yes you are right you have measured this and you had a 4 knot session. You bitched on and on about basicly nothing. Getting all proffesor like with actually not that much knowledge at all, because its actually full of holes and assumptions. not facts. Just things you assume. :nono:
(this is what you see whith creationists as well... )

Simply because you couldnt hold the V3 doesnt say dimitri wasnt able to. But i guess your ego needs all the attention it can get. I mean you invented famous tricks for surfers, been great at this and that...

Your furocity with this thread and trying to disprove everything is getting ridiculous. You talk about things as if they where facts but the truth is you dont know.
This whole thread the only thing it actually tells me, The kite DOES fly in 4 knots, and Dimitri can handle the short luls to 2 knots.

People trying to discredit Dimitri with trying to distort claims.
Like saying kiteboarding in 2/4 knots.. DUDES.. it is on a freakin SUP and it can hardly be called kiting like that. But the fact that the kite even stays in the air is great already.
Any working brain out there knows they wont be able to go kitesurfing with that wind 99,9% of us misses the actual skills for this. :baby:

But it does tell me i can have a really nice lowind session for my weightclass. If i can ride in 8 knots i would be very happy. (i'm 110/115kg) It would safe my summers. And looking at the videos... damnnn that is lightwind conditions. The fact it even flys THAT stable in that low wind. :thumb: :thumb:

Well after 100  posts of you saying almost the same thing every time i kinda know what your point is. I dont validate it as thruth but as an Assumption made by you.
Even if your point was truly valid, the person measuring on the beach saying its a 4 knot session... it will be called a 4 knot session.
And this last point you will never change for most people. :thumb:

I have some friends that i hold in high regards when it comes to making claims, and they flew the V2 in 6/7 knots with a small raceboard. And they agreed both with a sub they where able to go in even less wind. That + the V3 has a better lowend makes me conviced its able to fly at 4 knots and drag a SUP slowly over glassy water.

I believe dimitri, I think the v3 can fly in 3 knots. But you would be foolish to buy a kite for 8 knots based on how well it performs in 3 knots, 8 knot wind is nearly 10 times stronger than 3 knot wind.

Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that "Anguill"a rocks.
Had a blast in the waves in the morning on the mini INFINITY V3 which is the new RENEGADE 13 LTD V3 (4G) and then for an evening session decided to take the INFINITY V3 for a spin in 8 to 16 knots on the OXYGEN V2 Twin Tip board. So time for you guys to get wet and go kiting.
