Glad it works for you on your little dot in the world.
Would it be even more useless in your even smaller Texas pond?

Please give me examples of locations that it would work in compared to those where it wouldn't

Would my method have an higher percentage success rate versus percentage of failure?

It seems to be a dog eat dog world where you live......hey i am a cat person......MEOW

supa's seems like an improved version of folded wingtip. My C kites do not sit on a tether, they drop into the power zone and rip it rite out so I usually just drift launch at a sketch location.

Yes i could...but if i go straight back first lined up with center strut..i can separate lines evenly...
...and give it a clear go ahead visually..and /or i may need to spin the bar once or twice..

I did the same way with my Flysurfers...straight back then 45....gives you 100% assurance :thumb:

And thank you...very good point to discuss ........................................... :surf: :sun: ..................

I noticed that the lines were already attached to the kite in the video.

Do you normally leave your LEI bar and lines attached to your kites (aka "Flysurfer Style")? If so, how do you pack your bar? (In the kite or outside of the kite?

-joedy
Hello joedy.....real good question..yes lines always stay on........ aka flysurfer style....

The bar is packed on the outside of kite

Look at video just before i unfold the kite...it is on top of it...and lines are coming out from the LE

When i take bar off the kite i put it 2ft in front of LE... a bit to right of the center strut...
...towards where the wind is coming from... in the video

After i got the kite pumped and pump put away...you see me grab the bar..
.....and walk toward sandbag....set the bag...then go on my way around the windward wingtip

This is how loose the slack lines need to be in the kite...in order to get you around either side of kite

Once i have cleared the wingtip..i undo the bar ends ties....and unwind the lines fully..

So basically just do exactly in reverse to pack...put bar down lined up w/center strut..2ft outside LE

I fold all my kites tips to centers...then..

...fold the kite in 2 or 3 trailing edge toward leading edge...and once folded..put bar/lines on top...
...and in the bag...fully ready to go for your nest session :thumb:

But your work schedule does seem light, that probably leaves more time for keyboard bangin'.
I think we both have to get off KF right now....let's do it on the count of three...one..two..three :thumb:

Talk to you tomorrow
