the meteorologist briefings are priceless for 10 $ a month I have saved several hundred dollars in trips where we used to get skunked.......have not been skunked since going pro and getting daily briefings.

It should be. It does not have to. There is a lot of PRO gear full of flaws.
Anyway, I just waned to hear someone's experience before I pay for it.

I cancelled my membership 7 years ago, and now I have $700 more in my pocket.

It's hilarious when I'm at the beach getting skunked, and someone (who is also getting skunked) pulls up their "PRO" forecast on their phone, and it's identical to the free sites.

If someone really had a superior forecasting method, they'd be working for the FAA or the Pentagon, not a couple hundred 40 year old guys in smelly neoprene.

It can be worth it if you live in an area where the only meters are premium-only. In Hood River I haven't found a free meter that is close to what the wind is actually doing , but there are a couple premium ones I've seen that work well. I still think it's a ripoff though so I just look for whitecaps on the webcams and bring all my kite sizes to the launch .

They need to start using sonic anemometers with no moving parts because their stations always go down.
