Hi! I'm living on Boracay for the winter and thinking about getting somewhere not far from the island looking mainly for some flat water. There's some flat on Bulabog during low tide, but the water is ankle depth with hell lot of sea urchins on the bottom.
I know there's an interesting spot called Seco island, and there're some people selling kite-safaries to Seco, but may be someone knows cheaper way to get there? Also I've heard about Kuyo islands with some nice and uncrowded spots there, did anyone tried to go there?
Thanks in advance!

Have a look here:
www.splocs.com
Many spots listed.
You can also travel north...there are some lagoons with perfect flat water!

Thanks, Toby! Yes, I've seen splocs. But what do you mean north? Islands to the north from Boracay, or north of the Philippines, like Kingfisher? I've read some of your posts here about Seco island, how do you think, what is the best way to get there? Thanks)

yes, I mean the North of Manila, like Kingfisher.
I have no idea how to get to Seco cheap. You need to get a boat to get there for sure.
What about Union Beach? just around the corner! same as Bulabog...maybe less urgins? that I don't know...
You could kite over to
http://locations.splocs.com/kitesurf/lo ... sland.html
There is some flat water behind the point.
I also heard about
http://locations.splocs.com/kitesurf/lo ... sland.html
Supposedly fantastic! flat as can be! nothing much on the island though, way different than Boracay.
But I guess that will be your best bet! But quiet a journey to get there!

Yes, my friends have visited Cuyo island, they said it was only couple of kites there, flat water, white sand, nice place. I'll see how can we get there from Boracay. Nice wind here, but not a single sand spit or something with some flat behind it, most of the Bulabog lagoon is choppy most of the time...They say Union beach is a bit more flatty, I doubt that, but anyway will visit to check it out soon.
Ok, Toby thanks for info! BTW. Looking forward to order your new DVD as soon as I get home from here) And I suppose it'll have some footage filmed on Seco island also...

Just putting it out there...
If you're living on Boracay, why not just ask some locals in the kiteshops?
You'll probably get better info. than asking an international forum?
Try the guys at Freestyle Academy or Ocean Republic... Or any of the other schools on Bulabog...
