Is it just me or are some kite companies trying palm off the traditional fast and slow turning attachment points... as lighter and heavier bar pressure.
What if I wanted light bar pressure - but did not want to put it on the 'slow' turrn setting ?

Rear line attachement points have always and will always do both. Physics dont change.

And you might have it backward. Lighter bar pressure, as in furhter back attachement point, as in longer lever arm will always be both lighter at the bar and faster turning. You just gotta move the bar a teeny tiny bit more to get the same input to the kite. Further forward attachements will be a shorter lever arm, higher bar pressure and generally slower kite response.

a lot of kiters don't take the time to rig and trim their kites properly. Dialing them in makes all the difference in the world.
Same for demos: Don't just 'grab-and-fly' the kite. Play with some settings to get a feel for the kite.
Overall what's 'slow turning' for me might be 'fast' for others. It's a subjective judgement.

Very simple, and my advice to everyone:

If you got a specific kite, you should always put the rear line connections at the setting where the bar pressure is perfect for YOUR liking (or conditions)

Dont mind faster or slower turning (as this is a debatable topic and does not really change much) - so trim for the bar pressure YOU like the most as the only target

I usually prefer lighter-bar/faster setup.

Sometime I try new tricks and want the kite slower, I just grab the bar closer to the center. Obiviously the oposite is not possible : to be on the slow turning setup and to grab wider than the bar to make if faster.

In strong winds, on smaller kites (5-7m), I use to prefer slower setup. On smaller kites, higher bar preasure is not a problem.

i got a 2013 c4. rode it for 5 mins and decided to sell it.

absolutely hate the increased bar pressure. twiddled with the settings. bar pressure still to high.

Swapped it for a near new 2012 c4..... sweeet. now im grinning again!
