This is wierd, I regularly post on two big kite forums and everyone is talking about cabrinha, either praising, promoting or saying what a load of crap they've produced until now.
I don't normally enter into discussions on brands and don't want to now either but the word powerlock in this add aroused my interest.
Does anyone know if this is a system that can block the depower line for example when launching, so you can lauch in strong wind depowered without hooking in?
If it is all praise to cabrinha, if not what is everyone, cabrinha included waiting for to invent something like this?

the lock system works as following:
you are hooked into the depower loop.
now you want to do a one foot jump where you need more hangtime. So you jump and while being pulled in the air or before you lock the bar. And now you have the bar closer to you which means you have more power.
It is like being in the depower and before a jump you hook into the harness loop for more power. but now you don't need the harness loop any longer.

Thanks Toby, I must admit I didn't really follow that.
You mean the power lock can lock the depower line in the powered up position so you can't depower the kite while jumping hooked into the chicken loop?
Does it only work like this or can you also lock the depower so it stays depowered when not hooked in?

The power lock rules,, I have just ridden it for the first time,the chicken loop works as normalbut when you want to launch!!just lock in to the power lock and max power to boost!! Try it you will love it,Can be fitted to any kite

This is the same thing as wipika have had for at least 12 months, it's not new and it's not a big deal...

Hi,
Just a quick one.
The New Power Lock is completely different than the Wipika Bar. The Cabrinha Bar feels like a normal sheet in sheet out system, but when you want to lock into full power you just pull the bar fully down to connect into the Power Lock and then just let go.
I'll be at the 2XS demo this weekend and i'll have them their for people to see and try...

Cabrinha is still sleeping ! Only QR for chicken loop. NO KITESAFETY !! No new ideas, no Inovationen. Is the Kitesafety only a problem in Europe? I don´t want to hurt somebody by losing my Kite. The Kiteproshopbar is still the measure of the things for me. I use a harness loop, which I can adjust on the water in the length. I am not limited of my Kitesafety and I can fix the Depower variable. For me it is important that i don´t hurt my sport friends. Has Cabrinha no friends ? I am disappointed from Cabrinha.
