Glad to see another company committing to making a four line non bridled C kite.
I didn't say we were going to make a 4-line C, I said we would make a new kite for Ruben, as of yet no one including Peter knows what that will be. Too early to say.
So all this proves that
Len10 did not jump brands for the gear.
He jumped brands for the $
That shouldn't be a surprise, but some ignorant folks may think otherwise.
Best R&D will have to step up and deliver something that can take Len10 to great heights.
That said, it's been my experience that the rider makes the kite, not the other way around.... which is probably why he is worth the big bucks to Best!
This is all fine & good and will end well for everyone. I just get a kick out of reading the marketing spin from both companies.

He changed brands because we offered him a deal and he took it. It's as simple as that.
Now I don't happen to know his reason for joining us, but the deal includes the development of his own kite and the chance to work very closely with R&D and that wasn't on the table from anywhere else. I doubt very much there was any difference in the $ on the table from us or anyone else. Riders are worth what they are worth no one is going to pay over the odds for them.

We could spend forever second guessing what he motives were, no doubt they were many and complex. Changing jobs is never a simple decision for anyone and I would expect even more so when part of doing your job is actually putting your life at risk regularly.
Hat's off to all the top level pro's, they all put it on the line day after day week after week and never complain a damn when they break a part of their body. Frankly they are worth every cent.

Why? Because fuel is a great kite.
It took years to get the fuel right, Ruben will have a good kite from Best in 2018, then he can retire.
Until then it's make do with the winged sea-salami!
Meanwhile the fuel with redbull logos still flies....

only if he manages to UNlearn to fly a kite! i don't want to defend best, but the rider makes the kite and not the otherway round. i have best kites, but i would to the same in almost any kite in the market if given the proper time to adapt.

the rider makes the kite?
mmmh, why did Ruben use his Fuel then, now that he is a best rider?
And there are many kites where I cannot pull my tricks on...the kite is also a part of the whole, but not all, that's for sure!

Probably because he wanted to win and has not adapted the best kites yet...!
