Kiteshop in Orlando

Hi kitebrothers, long time far from this great forum, nice to come back and meet you all. :)

After another tragical accident here in Brasil, in the city of João Pessoa, I've been trying to convince kiters from my city to buy their helmets, and one of them asked about kiteshops in Orlando, looks like there is somebody there who can purchase him a helmet. I suggested the Ace pro helmet, which I've been wearing for 5 years now, but don't know whether there is a good alternative to it or not, so I'd like to know from you fellow kitesurfers, two things: name of kiteshops in Orlando where good kitesurf helmets can be found, and a good brand and model.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi André!
I am also from Brasil and had recently been to Orlando. There are no shops there at all... at least, I couldn't find any after a long and boring search through the net. However, I've found a very nice shop in Cocoa Beach, which is like an hour or so by car from Orlando.

If you look for Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa, you'll find it. On the net, their website is http://www.kiteboardingcloseouts.com/.

There is another one, the 321 Kite, but, as they had moved, I could not find the new shop. http://www.321kiteboarding.com/

You can also look for gear online. I must say I like the Kite-Line store (http://www.kite-line.com/)

Boa sorte!!!!

Olá, Marc!

Kite-line.com was my first choice, I bought my helmet there, but they don't have any helmet to sell, unfortunately. The helmet is for a friend of mine, his brother-in-law will be going to Orlando soon, and is supposed to bring a helmet to him.

I'll pass your tips to him, one hour from Orlando is nothing, 40 to 50 km distance, isn't it?

By the way, we are having a great time here in Maceió, wind has been a good friend during the last 3 months! Should you decide to come here some day, the wind season is from the end of october until january. Just give me a call, 82-8863-8243! Long downwinds here, 100 km or more.

Abraço e se cuida!
