Jeezus Red Bull is doing some very shitty coverage of this event. Red Bull did about $2 billion in revenue last year. You would think they would hire some videographers who knew what they were doing when shooting kiting videos. One video you can't even see the kite in any of the jumps. The other video is so far back you have tons of objects in front of the camera.
How hard would it be to split the screen and have a close up and long range shot so we could get the best of both angles?
So freakin' rookie. Makes this event look like a joke when it is anything but that. Very disappointed in the coverage so far.
it's funny to think people are wanting "buy" altitude (in form of kite) and that this discussion is even going on after years of kitelow wakestyle stuff , guess that is just the way it is, be interesting to see if it starts a resurgence.
I think high wind riding rules but i got huge respect for how wakestyle is progressing with such aggressive/technical/difficult riding recently. Be interesting what is in fashion over next couple of years. A strapless surfboard and wake/bindings board are for sure the fashion accessories of 2012/13.
There were hundreds of cameras with oversized lenses there. Was even an oke in the water shooting for hours. I'm sure they will release some decent footage in time.
