guess why they made it? Have an 18 for testing waiting in Germany...I hope mid of March I will know how it performs...hoping for a better version of Dyno 2011...not performance-wise, but some other, small things.

... my guess is they are looking at dominating airstyle !! Its hard to imagine they could get more power than the old 2011 18m but very interested indeed. I had high hopes for the 2012 17m but it failed (in my eyes) for me! I look forward to your opinions. cheers, Robbie

more power is not needed. The Dyno 18 has all it needs. But, it needs to get rid of the fluttering, and needs stronger material, specially at the back part. Maybe some options for turning speed, for those who like it faster or slower.
The Dyno 17 is more like a real race kite...with the Dyno 2011 we just got lucky to be perfect for airstyle!
All they need to dominate the airstyle market is a bar with a microloop! Most important for airstyle! Makes me land tricks no one will ever be possible without ML !

... I agree, power was perfect on the 2011 but I personally wanted it to turn faster (or rather turn easier) and the 'brrrrrrrrr' noise is annoying indeed. When I got the 2012 it didn't even really turn quicker or easier as advertised but its freeriding abilities was very poor in my opinion! Sounds like North have been listening to the public, I thought they dropped the ball when they dropped the 16m Rebel in 2011 but it looks like its sort of be back in Fuse form. Hey Toby, did you ever try the Dyno LTD 17m, it looks suspiciously like the new Fuse hey? cheers for now, Robbie

Never heard of the LTD! I think the 17 turns faster for sure! Again, better for racing, that was the goal with the Dyno 2012. Therefore important to have a bigger kite for freeride. Curious how it performs! I know with the Rebel 16...I still fly the 16 2010 as my smallest kite

Don't forget about us snowkite athletes that need a Burley big kite...It wasn't just you asking bro! I am stoked also! Thank you Ken!!!
