Hey guys,

The problem is that there is some sticky-back tape that is creeping out into the interior of the batten pocket. I recommend getting some sort of wooden dowel or a long screwdriver, basically something that you can use that won't tear your canopy material, to push through the pocket to sort of open it up a little bit. You want to make it easier to slide your batten in the pocket. Once you get the batten in, you won't really need to take it out so the sticky stuff isn't a problem then. But just try to get something in there to make it easier to slide the batten in there without ripping the canopy material. I hope that helps! :bye:

Just a bit of extra force needed to insert them completely. Mine were slowed when there left 5cm tips outside but I put some extra force and they worked inside completely.
Turbine 2013 is different vs 2012 due to adaptive tips with that battens allowing tip windows to open more when overpowered and extending the high wind range. I was riding 2013 Turbine together with a guy who was on 2012 Turbine. The wind was about 16-18kn may be and he was overpowered. I didn't even touch depower rope. I usually start to pill it around 20kn. Turbine is a brilliant kite allowing to progress very fast and very safe with all range of Toby style tricks. It is fast and light on a bar for a 17m kite. It is very stable in the air. I can't comment how it is for racing but suppose it to be very well as Turbine has incredible upwind pull.

Have one ordered. Looking forward to comparing it to Dyno 2013 and Edge 19.

... hey 14,

can you compare the Dyno 2013 and the Edge 19m first so we have a base to work with. And if I could be rude and ask you to elaborate a little more with details.

cheers,

Robbie :)

I'd be interested to hear the comparisons too. And don't hold back on the emoticons :D I feel like you have been slacking on them recently

Robbie and Dave,

I should be able to Fly the Edge 19 this weekend along with the Dyno. The Turbine has not been delivered yet.

I had another Sesh on the Dyno 17 this past Sunday. The Kite is the most stable Dyno that I have flown. COMPLETELY different look and feel than the LTD was or the 18M.

In the Air the wings seem to sweep back more. I cannot make it back stall even with my 245 Pies. Upwind is effortless and with Speed. It has the Juice on the Up and downstroke both. When a Puff of wind hits the kite it's INSTANTLY translated into board speed. Extremely SMOOTHEEEE Power curve.

No whitecaps at the end of Sesh and the Dyno kept good static pull going. No flutter or Noise when the kite is coming across the window. and fast across the window. Not much jumping yet
but will see what I can do. I think the top end range is Huge. We will see.
