Hi,
Does the Duotone Clickbar work with the Bandit S2/S3. Both have Y, but I guess Duotone uses a higher Y than FOne. Anyone actually tried the combination?
Regards K

F-one Linx has a set point for the V split. Click bar has adjustable V split so you can just measure and put it at the appropriate point - from memory I think 9m. I used it with earlier versions of the Bandit (2019) with no problems. The more relevant issue is line attachments - F-one is 4 knots on the kite so 4 loops from the bar. Duotone is 2 loops 2 knots. I have a set of Universal pigtails so that any bar works with any kite.

the bar works. I used it last week. just move the adjustable V-splitter to the right height. I compared it to the F-one bar I have, it is not 9m (way less IMO), 4/5mt I guess but not sure.
the knots/loops on the duotone bar is not a problem. in fact, the knots are at the end of loops.

It’s probably somewhere in between - I would measure but I’m on holiday! In reality I don’t think it’s that crucial - I’ve flown my Bandits a couple of times with the V coming from the bar accidentally and only noticed after I came in off the water.

I had a Bandit 12m last season and used it with a clickbar 2019 without any issues. You just need to adjust the V-split height and swap the pigtail side to match F-One standard (4 loops on the bar's side)

Thanks guys,
I tried the S3 9m2 and the Click bar today.
Click bar has 24 m lines. Y is 6.5 meters away from the bar.
Linx bar has 22 m lines. Y is 4 meters away from the bar.
With the additional 2 meters longer lines and the Y 2m5 meters further away, I don't think there is such a great difference.
But the 9er flew a bit odd, first I thought it was because if the bar, but I have concluded it was because the kite was under powered. Maybe 16 knots, 90 kg and wave board on flat water. Could get me going, but rather boring. I better not blame neither bar or kite. Maybe just lack of experience when trying a very different kite.
Think I gonna stick to the Click bar. It also has the sliding hook, which I will miss on Linx when being waves or on foil.

It’s not the distance to the bar that matters, it’s the distance from the Y to the kite and I not sure there is anyone alive that could feel a half meter difference on that setup. You will feel more of a difference in the 24 vs 22 line length that the Y split change. Just go ride and enjoy.
