Hey
So I have tried riding my 2008 8m torch on my 2011 lines(set up for my 12m) and it does not fly well. Does anybody know what the difference in set up is? Did 08 kites fly on the 5th line or something? I could not make the kite fly right by making sheeting or power adjustments.
Thanks

its the shift bar. I read something about the 08 torches having a slightly different setup and needing 2 inch extensions on the front line attachments for use with newer bars, does anybody know anything about this?

In theory any four line kite should fly on any four line bar - when you lay your bar out (with no depower on and the bar fully sheeted in) all four should be the same length.
I'm guessing that you've checked that your bar is set up correctly?
Obviously this wouldn't explain why one flies differently to the other but it would at least be the first step in getting to the root of the problem.
Since the kites aren't the same size you might just find that one of the kites copes with incorrect line lengths better than the other. Have you tried them both using the 2 inch extensions you mention?
